President Trump may have a tougher citizenship test ready to go

Mr. Trump imposed a much longer civics test in 2020. It may be coming back soon.

The second Trump Administration may have a simple way to make its U.S. Citizenship Interview much more difficult: Simply reimpose the Civics Test it rolled out at the end of its previous term

A report by the Capitol Immigration Law Group says the incoming administration could be planning to simply reinstate the challenging 128 question Civics Test it imposed for 2 months at the end of 2020. The Biden White House returned to the familiar 100 question Civics Test shortly after taking office.

The short lived 2020 Civics Test required 12 correct answers out of 20 questions, rather than the previous 6 correct out of 10 questions. Applicants reported that many of the questions seemed more difficult.

The U.S. Citizenship Foundation will report any news about changes to the Naturalization process on this blog.
